Burton-on-Trent E-MailSince the BGS website moved to its own site ( www.burton-on-trent.org ), we have been given a nearly unlimited set of e-mail accounts. They are available to BGS past-students, on request, on e-mailing grammar.school@burton-on-trent.org. They take the form my.name@burton-on-trent.org . The server which you will use - and which hosts the website - belongs to Netfirms in Toronto. Hence, you will send e-mail via and download from our space on this server. For this to happen you have to set up your Microsoft Outlook (or whatever you use) to send and receive mail at this address. This is not difficult . For Outlook: Go to Tools, then E-Mail Accounts, Click Add new e-mail account, then Next, then click POP3, then Next, then fill in the information which I will send you, then Finish. The way in which the e-mail is set up will mean that all your burton-on-trent e-mail is still down loaded into your normal inbox at the same time as you collect your normal mail. You now have a burton-on-trent address. A bit strange if you live in Dublin, London, or Paris,...... but one-up for anyone who actually lives in Burton.
