Panora Photos
Thought I would do a bit of research into the people who took the school panoramic photos. I was going to enquire if they had any more. Unfortunately .............
http://www.gmcro.co.uk      The Panora negatives were deposited with the DPA in 1986 by the managing director of the firm who had sold his business but retained the negatives. They are date from 29 September 1968 to 30 July 1985. Earlier negatives have not survived. Each negative differs in length but a typical example is 20½ wide by 109 cm long. We are not aware of any photographic studio who can produce an image from such a large negative. No prints exist.  Apparently, there was a fire that destroyed everything prior to 1968.   Regards, Dave Parker (4th Oct 03)

Arthur Noel Stanley KNIGHT (1899-1902). I am currently researching Birmingham University's Great War Roll of Honour and believe one of those listed may have been a former student of Burton Grammar School between 1899 –1902.  Would it be possible for you to check to see if you still have records and or photographs of students from that period. The name of the student I am interested in is :- Arthur Noel Stanley KNIGHT.  I would be most grateful for any information that you could supply and more than happy to meet the cost of any charges incurred. Many thanks for your help in this matter, Yours sincerely, Michael Handford.  ( E mail :   a.freezer@blueyonder.co.uk ). If anyone is related / has information or photos, please contact Michael
