The picture is for prefects of 1953-4, and
entry of 1945/6, I think. I am likely to remember as "Reg" Benwell and I
were the only non-prefects in the Upper 6th that year. I have some pictures
of students and cadets which I shall attempt to send. I was at school from
1946-54. I am more or less retired and live in Brisbane. Anyone visiting the
antipodes is welcome. I am keen to contact Richard Cooper (1947-54) and

The two Indian students came from Nairobi. Suria took and economics degree and
went to India (Madras) when the asians were kicked out of E Africa. He ran one
or more businesses in textiles and milling. Batuk was London correspondent for
the Times of India, and may still be. I think some of the others may be on other
photos too. Gerard Evans went to Cambridge and used to do a slot on the Weeklies
for the BBC on Saturday mornings. |
